You will study the basics of personalised back making, creating a personalised (skirt/trouser/dress) block.
Working with your own measurements you will make your pattern and cut into a toile. Working with your peers you will fit the toile to the body, adapting the pattern accordingly.
You will leave with a personalised (skirt/trouser/dress) block on an accurate pattern in card and a fitted toile.
The course will include:
-Figure types
-Taking accurate measurements
-Customising for individual fit
-Fitting procedures
-Transferring fitting of toile, to pattern
-Pattern altering
-Completed block in card with notches, grain lines and cutting instructions.
Level
Students with experience or beginners, who should have an interest in the subject area and a desire to learn, no previous experience is required.
